Hey friends! How have you been? Hope you are doing well. Today all of us know that conflicts due to religious intolerance are a common thing. In India also, Hindu-Muslim riots are frequently observed. But there is a case in which this religious intolerance destroyed a country. This is the evil power of religious intolerance. There was a time in which there existed a country named Palestine. But where is the country now? What led this country to become a terror zone Why Israel is so unstable? How Israel became a country in the land in which there was Palestine? All the questions will be answered in this post. So let’s get started.

Stereotyped Jews

From the very core of history, Jews are always seen with red-eye. The Muslims and the Christians saw Jews as unwanted components on this Earth. This ‘Jews’ community is a very small group living in the European and middle east countries. Jews people are often stereotyped for their six shaped noses and their eagerness for business. The heights of the criticism of the Jews reached during the Nazi government in Germany. Adolf Hitler declared Jews as inferiors and sent them away to concentration camps. Jews were expelled from public places. The Nazi curriculum taught students to hate Jews and be oppressive towards them. Jews were mocked through movies and posters. The same story went to Middle East countries. The Middle East countries wanted Jews to be completely whitewashed from this planet. Jews then knew that they now wanted a separate country for them or else they cannot survive. Jews protested and demanded a separate Jews State named ISRAEL.

The UK Behind the Whole Vandalism

We all know that during the era of the first world war, colonialism was at its heights. And in this race, the United Kingdom was running in the first place. The whole vandalism was initially started by the United Kingdom but it did this play behind the curtains. Before the First World War, Palestine was a part of Ottoman Empire or present-day Turkey. At that time, the Ottoman Empire was a mighty power and was a dominating force in the Middle East countries. Due to this Ottoman Empire had a bitter relationship with the Middle East countries. Its main rivalry in the Middle East was with the Arabs.

The First World War started in 1914 between The Allies comprising of France, British Empire and Russia fighting with The Central Powers comprising of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Ottoman Empire. The British Empire wanted control in the Arabian area. Due to this, Britishers saw the division of the Ottoman Empire the only way to fulfil their demand. On the other hand, the Jews were looking forward to a separate country for them. Thousands of Jews died in this genocidal war. But on the contrary, Jews were extremely rich and were very intelligent. Jews are well known for their wealth and innovating ideas. British Empire saw this as an opportunity. They had an evil eye on the wealth and the minds of Jews. British Empire wanted support from Jews. As a result, the British Empire aimed to become a disguised messiah for Jews. In 1917, the British Empire made the Balfour Declaration. According to this Declaration, if Jews will extend their hands of support toward Britishers and if British wins the war then they will set up a separate country for Jews. As a result, the Jews community went into the favour of Britishers. But the British Empire had another motive. They didn’t want a country for Jews. In fact, they only wanted an area in their support in Middle East during the First World War. This Balfour Declaration was not as simple as it seemed then. In fact, it was a conflicting declaration. Before a year of Balfour Declaration i.e. 1916 Britain made a promise to France that if they win the first world war then Britain will give Palestine into the hands of France. And if we will go further back, then in 1915 Britain made a promise to Mecca i.e. Arab that if they support them in the war then they will give Palestine to Arab. It is crystal clear that it is a conflicting declaration made by Britain not only between two countries but between three countries and the Jews community. And hence, the future of Israel was at stake and Britain didn’t want to give Palestine to either of the countries.

After the Second World War

The first World War ended in 1918 with the defeat of The Central Powers. At the time of the division of the Ottoman Empire, the conflict over the land of Palestine grew. In 1920, the League of Nations, an international organisation was formed. Great Britain threw this matter of Palestine into the League of Nations. Debates took place on Palestine. Later in 1922, League of Nations declared Palestine as a disputed land. So to get rid of this, League of Nations gave Palestine to the British Empire. This reflected the cunning minds of the Britishers. They took the advantages of the three countries and also got a new colony. Between the fight, Great Britain emerged as a black horse. Britain, from the very beginning, used a policy of Divide and Rule. This policy was used in India and was also used in Palestine. Britain provoked Christian, Jews and Muslims against each other and this created a conflicting wall between them. The motive behind this was not to rule in Palestine but was to keep this area disturbed. Britain knew that they cannot withstand the innovative technology of Palestine, now or tomorrow they will be overthrown. But they wanted to keep this area disturbed because the countries in the middle east are extensively rich in oil deposits. Chances are there that one of them can cross Britain in military force. So Britain wanted to engage these countries in these religious riots and thus restrict them to expand their military. After the Second World War, the United Nations was formed in 1945. Britain once again threw this matter to the United Nations. This time The United Nations formed a committee of 11 countries along with the British Meel Commission to discuss the conflict in Palestine. The Meel Commission suggested a partition in Palestine which was the aim of Britain. In fact, the partition was made such that due to geographical conditions, the area will remain disturbed even after fulfilling the demands of the Jews i.e. Setting Up Of Israel. The UN made Israel a separate country for Jews and gave them 44% of the total land of Palestine. The Arab got 55% of land and UN made its hold on 1% of land i.e. on Jerusalem as it was the religious centre of Christians, Jews and Muslims.

Now the partition was made but made in such a way that Arabs were on three sides of Israel and Israel were like a snake curling between these lands. And Jerusalem was located at the midpoint of the West Bank which was the land of Arabs, so Israeli people cannot reach there.

As you can see in this picture, the partition was confusing and was done in an uneven way. It was a confusing and messy partition. In addition to this, the middle east countries were outraged as a Jews state is in the land of Muslims. So they, in together tried, to conquer Israel.

So in spite of partition, the land was disturbed and is till today disputed as thought by the Britishers. But the positive side was that Jews got a safe area for them. And hence a new country named Israel for Jews got its birth on 14th May 1948.

Israel Survival Through The War

The Jews were very happy as they got a separate country for them. But this happiness was not tolerated by the middle east countries. The Middle East Countries tried several times to conquer Israel. They didn’t want a Jews country in Middle east area. As a result, all the middle east countries joined hands together to flee the Jews from this area. Now this situation was a do or die like situation for the Jews. They knew that if they lose their country then the Jews community will face its end. As a result, they fought and won. Israel went through five wars in order to survive. Israel which was initially given 44% of the land of Palestine by the United Nations had now expanded and occupied 80% of the land of Palestine after these five wars!  We will discuss these five wars which Israel fought in order to survive.

1) Arab-Israeli War of 1948

The happiness of Jews of having their own country was completely devastated within 1 day. Seven counties namely Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Yemen formed the Arab League to fight against a common enemy, Israel. The Israeli Declaration of Independence was issued on the day of 14th May 1948 which ended the British Mandate for Palestine. But on the morning of 15th May 1948, the forces of the Arab League started shelling on the Israel Border from all the directions. Israel was attacked from every corner and thus creating havoc like situation. Israel was bound to face 7 countries just after a day of independence. Israel was not ready for a sudden attack.

But Israel made a strong resistance against the invading force for a short time. This was known as the First Phase of the war. Coming to the end of the second phase of the war, the Arab league had occupied most of the land. Their main target was Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. So most of the war was also fought in these areas. But Israel in the third and the last phase of the war made a strong comeback. Israel with its innovative technology had made more advanced weaponry and also recruited their army. Israel made various search operations and blew the invading forces. It not only reoccupied its land but also made a hold over 60% of the land which was allotted to Arabs by the United Nations. Israel made a victory over a deadly attack and also expanded its territory and the most astonishing fact is it was done only after a day of its independence.

2) Second Arab-Israeli War of 1956 OR The Suez Crisis

Israel’s victory in the first Arab-Israeli War made the fear of Israel in the minds of the Arabian countries. As a result, the Arabian countries decided to attack the economic status of Israel. To make this objective successful Egypt used the Suez Canal which linked the Red Sea and the Mediterranean sea. This Suez canal is the most prominent and most significant canal in the world. It reduces a sea distance of 7000 km from Europe to India. If Suez Canal would not be there then the traders would have to travel all along the African continent through the Cape of Good Hope. The Suez Canal passed through Egypt and divided it into two parts. On the left side was the mainland of Egypt and on the right side was the Sinai Peninsula which also shared borders with Israel.

Egypt, Suez Canal And Sinai Peninsula

Egypt wanted to make supremacy over the Suez Canal as ships of all countries passed through it. So Egypt approached the United States to buy the latest arms and ammunition. The US consulted the United Kingdom and France. They feared that if the US would provide them with arms and ammunition then Egypt might play as a dominant region on the Suez Canal. So the US denied. And now this time Egypt went into negotiations with Russia. This negotiation was successful and Russia provided Egypt with all kinds of latest warfare technologies. In this time, a dam was being constructed on the Nile river, in Egypt named Aswan Dam. This dam is one of the most important dams in Egypt. This dam was being made by French and British companies. Enraged over the Suez Canal issue, France and Britain called their companies back. But on the other hand, Suez canal was made by a French Company so the Suez canal was provided in the lease to this company for 100 years. To get revenge of the Aswan Dam, Egypt fled the French company before its tenure and made a complete authority on the Suez Canal. Within a few days, Egypt declared that they would not allow any ship which is going to Israel. This made an obstacle to the growing economy of Israel. To get rid of this Israel with the help of Britain and France attacked the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt which was on the right side of the Suez Canal. In less than 2 weeks, Israel annexed the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. Now Suez Canal became a new boundary for Egypt and Israel. Israel laid no conditions that they will go back from Sinai if and only Egypt would allow the ships coming to Israel to go through the Suez Canal. Egypt agreed and Israel again returned Sinai to Egypt. By this way, not only Israel won another war but also saved its falling economy. And again Israel won a war for survival.

3) Six-Day War of 1967

Once again, the Arabian countries made an evil eye on Israel. But this war was a bit different from all the others, as this war took Israel into the sections of the most powerful countries of the world. Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon went into an agreement and decided to invade Israel. But unlike the first Arab Israeli war, this time the Arabian countries were equipped with advanced arms provided by Russia. Israel’s defence minister Moshe Dayan played a crucial role in this war.

Moshe Dayan

He thought that now Israel cannot defend these forces. They just need to take an offensive move. Israel conducted Operation Focus. In this operation, Israel conducted a massive airstrike over the Egyptian, Jordanian and Syrian airbases destroying their aircraft on the ground. 95% of the Arabian aircrafts were destroyed. This was followed by the deploying of motor guns on the Suez Canal and a heavy force on Jordan. Within 6 days, Israel defeated 5 countries. After this war, Israel occupied the Gaza strip, The West Bank and the Golan Heights. This Golan Heights provided them with a strategic location over Syria, Jordan and Lebanon and also solved the water crisis of Israel.

4) Yom Kippur War of 1973

Yom Kippur is a festival of Israel which is also the holiest day for the Jews. Even on this sacred day, thousands of bloodshed occurred. On 6th October, Egypt once again attacked Israel on the day of Yom Kippur. It was the deadliest attack as it was a sudden attack. Even no events occurred which could lead to war. It was a surprising attack. Within 4 hours, Egypt deployed 90% of its forces on Israel. Subsequently, Syria joined the war and also attacked Israel from the North. Israel was in a situation of confusion. But again, Israeli defence minister Moshe Dayan pulled Israel out. He ordered the troops to not to defend its borders but made them secretly transferred into the Egyptian and Syrian mainland. Israel quickly made hold on their mainland, as 90% of their forces were transferred to Egypt. In fact, Israel also reached Syria’s capital Damascus On the other hand, Egypt and Syria also made hold on Israeli land. Finally, in an agreement, Israel backed its forces from Egypt and Syria and vice versa. Although officially, none of the countries was declared the winner we can assume that once again Israel fought for its survival.

5) Lebanon war of 1982.

This war was the last war, as after this, most of the Arabian Countries recognized Israel as a separate country. In this war, Lebanon provided terrorist groups with weapons and launched them into Israel. For revenge, Israel attacked Lebanon. This attack’s scale was such that it took 10 years for Lebanon to come out of this loss. Also, many civilians and soldiers died in this war. But after this war, most of the Arabian countries gave the status of the country to Israel.

LEBANON AFTER ATTACK.

Loss Of Humanity By Israel

It is true that a country was much needed for the Jews. But Israel also made some serious blunders which were against humanity. In a single day, Israel killed 20,000 innocent civilians of Lebanon. The peak of this reached when Ariel Sharon became the prime minister of Israel. Whenever he felt that in this area, Palestinian revolts are uprising, he used to kill them all. It is believed that he killed almost 3000 Palestinians. No doubt, Jews were stereotyped but it doesn’t mean that Jews should start a genocidal war. Even small boys and girls were killed. This was the darker side of Israel.

Two Faces Shown By The United States Of America

At this stage, the US and Britain played a nasty game. As I already told, that these Middle East countries have the potential to be a major power. Hence Britain and the US wanted to keep these areas disturbed. The US is now playing a double-sided game. The USA is provoking another community named Sunni Muslim against Shia Muslim. Iran is a Shia Muslim country and other Arabian countries are Sunni Muslim countries. This resulted in frequent conflicts among Iran and Arabian countries. The US is showing the world that they are supporting Arabian countries. But on the contrary, there lies a conflict among Jews and Muslims. The US also provoked Israel to attack Sunni Muslim countries. Hence, there always lies a conflict. It shows to the world that they are supporting Sunni Muslims but also kills them through Israel. The USA also takes oil and other resources from these Arabian countries only by telling them that they are supporting them. But the actual truth is different. If these countries deny the USA for their oil, then the US often provided remuneration to the rebels of these countries to fall their government.

Threat To India By This Conflict

India, surprisingly, has the most significant threat due to this conflict. Iran exports its crude oil to India. Israel provides weapons and technology to India. And Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, UAE provides employment. In fact approximately 55 lakh Indians are working in these countries. Due to the instability of these nations, the oil prices in India fluctuates, unemployment increases and also imports of weapons and technology fails. So, India by itself should solve these issues as soon as possible which would also stabilize these internal issues of India. But in recent times, Saudi Arabia is playing a different game. Saudi Arabia wants to befriend Israel and other Arabian countries to attack Iran because of the Shia-Sunni conflict. Saudi doesn’t understand that the USA is only supporting it to destroy Iran. If Iran would get destroyed then the USA for sure will get behind Saudi Arabia. And if Iran will get destroyed then also, India’s oil imports will fall drastically. To defend this, Iran is also planning a masterstroke. Iran wants to form a group or a belt of Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, China and Malaysia. It will not only play as a major threat to Saudi Arabia but also to India as India lies in the centre of this belt. Also, this belt will be provided with Turkey’s technology, Iran’s oil deposits, Pakistan’s terrorists, China’s capital power and Malaysia’s sea route. India also owns terminals in Chabahar  port in Iran which is the only route to go to Central Asia from India. No doubt due to this belt, India’s oil prices will get skyrocketed but also will block India’s only path to go to Central Asia. So India must solve this conflict among Israel, Saudi and Iran.

Conclusion

As you saw in the above post that how religious intolerance led to this vicious environment. This conflict between Jews, Shia Muslim and Sunni Muslim have brought the development of many countries at stake. In fact, in India also conflict between Hindus and Muslims have led to a serious problem and the biggest of them was partition of India. I want to say that why so much vandalism if we know that all Gods are the same. What will change if we call Krishna or Muhammad? These are all same. Krishna was also an avatar of Lord Vishnu and Muhammad was also the Paigambar or messenger of God. Krishna herded his cows on the banks of Yamuna and Muhammad also herded his cattle on the deserts of Middle East. The name only changes but not the characteristics. Why so vandalism in the name of religion? Why these conflicts in the Middle East in the name of religion? Why terror in Kashmir by Jihadi in the name of religion? Why conflict between Britain and Ireland in the name of religion? This is the biggest question towards the race of humanity. In fact, religion has its place in every major conflict in the coarse of history. Why link religion to every problem? In India also, we always boast ourselves for being secular. But in this secular country event like Gujarat Riots, Bengaluru Riots, the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, Delhi Riots, Bombay riots occurred. Is this our secularism? If these riots are to be happened in India than what is the purpose of giving each religion equal opportunity and declaring ourselves as secular? People must understand that religion is not a rule book that you must be bound in it. It is a faith, a belief. Nobody is bound to it. In fact, an Atheist also follows his own religion. His belief in his own religion. Then why we force others to follow a particular religion? This religious intolerance is the major threat to mankind and this has to be stopped at any cost.

    1. You can start either by using a free site like us by using WordPress.com or blogspot.com and then get a custom domain by upgrading to a paid plan later or start with a paid plan (there are lots of options).

It’s very challenging to post regularly without any help, especially if you have a busy schedule at work or school. So try to get some people to help you and you can help them back in return like by exchanging of articles.

Then market it on social media and do something to attract some people. Do some SEO for your site too.

The most important requirement for running a website or blog is patience and hard work.

So this is only some points for starting a blog and I am also very new in this field. If you need any help you can contact us at encyclopediaofjoy@gmail.com
